A look at one of society's largest hidden issues.
An expository Documentary on social anxiety in teenagers with interviews from another person with social anxiety, a psychology student and someone who has moved past social anxiety.
This and Anthrophage are my favourite 2 projects that I have made so far. This documentary learnt a lot from my previous failures in my other films with audio, lighting and sound design and made my most well made project yet. It has its fair share of issues, especially as it was made for a deadline, and had to be condensed down to 5 minutes. This meant that the second half of questions for each of the interviewees do not have as many cutaways to support what they are saying as I did not have time to film them when they were not going to be in the main school version that I needed to submit.
I was very well organised for the shooting of this film, as I had planned well in advance my shooting and after so much went wrong with illness, faulty equipment and more, I managed to have enough contingency that worked out even better than what could have been originally. The only things I would really change are that the scenes are a little too dark, as the camera preview was too bright so I lowered the brightness which was then hard to fix in post. I did notice this before filming everything so only the interviews, mainly the first one, was effected by this.
