Who has changed and who was dead?
A 1950s mystery inspired clip of a detective being eluded by a mysterious figure.
I made 2 versions of this film, as it was for my final exam at college. The version that is currently available is my first, practice version. The final exam version redid every shot and included diegetic audio into the film.
This is my best film for cinematography. The shots were all planned and given enough time to be thought through. I had a lot of time to think, I was not as rushed which has caused other projects to suffer. I gave myself plenty of time and was able to talk to my friend, who also studied film, to make a really great film, on the first attempt. This also acted as a recce for the final version of the film, so that the next shoot would be even quicker and better as I understood the film and location better. I really wish I got this opportunity with more of my films, which I will try to do in the future for a large summer project I have planned.
I learned a lot from this practice version, with changes to the lighting in the second version so that some footage was less grainy. I used an LED light for some shots to make them slightly brighter.
