Making your number 1 obsession.
A short clip with a 30 second segment of a music video following an artist making their debut hit.

This was on of my most rushed films, as it was not only for a tight deadline, with room for 2 days to shoot, and also very small shooting times. For the footage I got out of this, I think I stitched something pretty solid together. Everything I would change about this is just giving it more time to make it stronger. The shots outside were in the most gloomy, cold weather of that week but I had no other choice and no time to change the idea, which meant the "sunshine" it mentions is not present at all, and the colour grading I tried did not do too much to help.
The first 15 seconds was a nightmare to film, the actors were difficult to work with and I overestimated the length of the shots I wanted, making it way faster paced than I wanted.

On a positive note, I am proud of the editing on this one. The sound was great, matching the music to the sound of the singer tapping his finger, which was also in post. The on screen lyrics were not planned, but did help a lot to fill in empty space and keep the shots engaging and match the tone of the music. This was also one of my first times using Adobe After Effects, except for some practice for my personal YouTube channel. It was not perfect but it was generally quite seamless and made a really nice effect with the text, which I used for the thumbnail. The clips flow with the song really well, and do not feel crammed or linger on too long, with the 2 different locations providing a really strong visual contrast that keep viewers engaged. The lighting set up I did was also well executed, lighting up half of his face for the shot, which made a really cool visual in the darkness.
